Our Cast

A Curious Comedy MainStage Team.

Team Members:

Jason Hays Headshot

Jason Hays

Jason is originally from Austin, TX and moved to Portland in 2012 in search of cooler weather and more liberal politics. He's performed scripted theatre his whole life in Dallas, New York City, Austin, and Bulgaria. Improv always scared him, so he took a class at Curious Comedy and fell in love quickly. Jason spends his days as a corporate communications leader, a husband, and a parent to 2 very cute kids.

Erica Maity Headshot

Erica Maity

Erica Maity currently performs with Curious Comedy's Thunderegg team as well as several indie teams in the Portland area. She began her career in improv in the business world. She had standout performances in several venues, including retail, ("Why Yes, I Can Pretend To Be A Nasty Customer For Training Purposes"), sales ("Sure I Can Give An Hour Long Presentation To Your Boss - What Do You Want Me To Talk About?"), and national and local trade shows ("Oh Damn That Class I'm Teaching Is Tomorrow" and "Sure I Can Lead That Discussion Group - Oh, You'll Tell Me The Topic When I Get There? Ok."). Driving past Curious Comedy one day, she thought, "Hey, that looks fun" and lo, a passion was formed (or a monster was created, if you ask her dog who now gets improvised songs sung at him all day). She is thrilled to be a part of the Curious Comedy community that has been so welcoming to her and she looks forward to many great shows with Thunderegg and more!

Rebecca Feldman Headshot

Rebecca Feldman

Rebecca Feldman is thrilled to be a part of Thunderegg and the Curious Comedy family. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would have a fancy picture and a biography on a real website. She was first seduced by the world of improv when she joined her high school’s short-lived yet delightfully named improv team, Ponder the Sheep. Many years later she re-ignited her passion and has performed with a variety of theaters and groups around town. In addition to Thunderegg, she is currently ¼ of the improv hatchling, Add Hawk. When she’s not performing she’s working as a Research Assistant, hosting weekly trivia nights, or sitting on the couch pondering the meaning of life (and of course, the sheep).

Luke Zwaniger Headshot

Luke Zwaniger

Luke Zwanziger considers Oregon to be his home state although he has bounced around the West Coast. A true renaissance man, he has built houses and barns, worked in a veterinary office, taught history at community colleges, self published comic books, and has a Master's degree in early Medieval Celtic from the University of Glasgow. A live well lived leads to interesting improv and Luke has interesting in spades. His first major theatrical role was as Humperdink in an adaptation of The Princess Bride. He began improvising in 2004. He has studied at UCB (LA), Curious Comedy, as well as many workshops. He currently performs on House Team Filbert and indie team Step/Sisters in Portland, OR. He is the director of video Production at Curious Comedy theater and is helping launch a video sketch team fall of 2018. He also writes, acts and directs films. His scripts have semi-finaled in ATX, NYCMidnight, and other various competitions and his films have won regional accolades for best direction and best cinematography. You can follow his work at www.LukeZwan.com & www.LuketopiaComedy.com

David Oehler Headshot

David Oehler

David Oehler started improvising in college to make friends. Thanks to a general hamminess and affinity for acting a fool, he stuck with it. He's very proud to be a part of Filbert. When he's not gallivanting around onstage, David likes aggressively critiquing horror movies, nodding along to insufferable music, and shouting at video games.

Jessica Zodrow Headshot

Jessica Zodrow

She also enjoys being part of the rotating cast of Showdown & when time allows performing in the many other venues Portland has to offer! She is also the artistic director of Joy & Wonder Theatre ( an all ages immersive theatre company) so if she is not making you laugh here at Curious that is where you might find her. She believes laughter is the best medicine and that through using your imagination with other people you can make the world a better place.

Hanna Leigh Headshot

Andrew Marshall Headshot

Andrew Marshall

When he’s not on stage with his beloved team Filbert, Andrew Marshall can be found enjoying the best of the Pacific Northwest’s rivers, beer, and soccer. When he’s playing hide-and-go-seek, Andrew cannot be found at all. Andrew has studied improv at Jet City Improv, the Brody Theater, and Kickstand Comedy Space before joining a Curious Comedy house team. He also enjoys writing and performing sketch comedy with his sketch comedy group Huzzah!
