Fundamentals of Queer Clowning: 4 Week Class
A four week intensive that invites participants of all identities and experience levels to explore clowning through presence, vulnerability, failure, and the queer experience.
Course description: Peek behind the fourth wall and into the soul of your audience with our four-week journey into The Queer Clowning Framework. This course, rooted in the intersections of gender expression and stage performance, invites participants of all backgrounds to embrace vulnerability, playfulness, and creativity - no previous clown experience required! In this class we will explore the awkwardness and discomfort generated from explicitly gendered interactions, and practice utilizing that energy in the context of comedic performance.
